The Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad 5 to 13 July 2008: A legendary occasion to enjoy
By now the Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad has become so far a tradition in the Gstaad region that it is no longer just a tournament, but a unique and essential appointment in the Swiss calendar of events.
Once again, from 5 to 13 July 2008, Gstaad will resound to the echo of the little yellow ball, and will furnish an appropriately-coloured ground to welcome the world tennis elite, tennis enthusiasts, and sports lovers.
Grand Chelem Management SA has been commissioned to organize the tournament since 2006. For several weeks now, the company has been doing everything possible to ensure that the many spectators who come here will enjoy this magical event through the performances of a set of players who are both prestigious and popular. Year after year, the Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad has welcomed major stars of the international tennis world. Last year, the young Frenchman, Paul-Henri Mathieu, added his name to the impressive honours list of this tournament’s history, which has given us Roger Federer in 2004, Gaston Gaudio in 2005, and Richard Gasquet in 2006.
Next July, the "Alpine Wimbledon" is already sure to provide again spectacular entertainment that lives up to its solid reputation, since first-class names have already confirmed that they will be taking part. They include Guillermo Canas (ATP 15), Juan Ignacio Chela (ATP 20), Igor Andreev (ATP33) and Nicolas Kiefer (ATP 49), as well as, of course, the title holder, Paul-Henri Mathieu (ATP 25).
In 2008 the Allianz Suisse Open Gstaad will have the family as a theme. If you take advantage of the very attractive scale of rates, you will find this a unique opportunity to experience a week of unforgettable tennis in the idyllic setting of the Gstaad area. The tournament is now a part of local tradition and, as usual, will certainly offer intense and exceptional moments and aspects of play that are not to be missed on any account.
